Terms of Repair Services

Welcome to Coffee Equipment Shop Miami. These Terms of Repair Services ("Terms") apply to all equipment brought to us for evaluation, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, tuning, descaling, restoration, or related services.
By submitting equipment to us, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Intake & Evaluation
We inspect equipment upon intake and document visible condition. Some issues may only become apparent after disassembly or testing.
We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.
Diagnostic Fee
A diagnostic fee of $79 applies. If you approve the repair, this fee may be credited toward the final invoice unless otherwise stated.

2. Estimates & AuthorizationRepair Authorization
We will:
  • Provide an estimate before performing chargeable work, unless you pre‑authorize a limit
  • Communicate updates if costs must exceed the approved amount
Approval may be given by signature, phone, email, text, or electronic confirmation.
Parts & Supplies
We may use OEM or high‑quality compatible parts unless you request otherwise in writing.
Special‑order parts must be prepaid and are non‑refundable.

3. Repair Process
Repair timelines are estimates only. Delays may occur due to parts availability, manufacturer support, or equipment condition.
We are not responsible for loss of revenue, downtime, or other consequential damages.

4. Completion & Pickup
We will notify you when your equipment is ready for pickup. Notification is deemed delivered when sent via phone, email, or text.
Free Storage Period
  • 3 business days after notification
  • If needed, you may request 2 additional calendar days free if requested before the initial period ends
Storage Fees
After the free period, storage is $5.50 per calendar day.
If you choose not to proceed with the repair after diagnosis, the equipment must be picked up within the standard pickup window. Storage fees apply after that period even if diagnostic fees have been paid.
Abandoned Equipment
Equipment not picked up within 30 days of notification will be considered abandoned. We may sell, dispose of, or otherwise handle abandoned equipment to recover repair and storage fees.
Any remaining balance due after such action is still owed by the customer.

5. Payment
All invoices must be paid in full before equipment is released.
Accepted payment methods: cash, card, and other methods offered at time of payment.
Returned payments incur processing fees.
We may retain possession of equipment until all balances are paid (lien/retention rights as allowed by law).

6. WarrantyLimited Repair Warranty — 90 Days
We warrant our workmanship for 90 days after pickup.
This warranty covers only the specific repair performed.
Not Covered
  • Wearable parts (gaskets, screens, burrs, filters, seals, group gaskets, valves, etc.)
  • Issues caused by scale, corrosion, or improper water treatment
  • Damage due to misuse, lack of maintenance, or physical damage
  • Power surges, plumbing issues, or environmental conditions
  • Any problem not directly related to our repair work
Customer is responsible for bringing/returning equipment for warranty evaluation.

7. Water Quality & Electrical Requirements
Espresso equipment requires proper water treatment and stable electrical supply.
Any failures due to:
  • Scale/mineral buildup
  • Corrosion or contamination
  • Poor filtration or softening
  • Voltage spikes, grounding issues, or unstable power
are not covered under warranty.

8. Liability & Personal Items
We are not responsible for beans, water, pitchers, accessories, or other personal items not listed at intake.
We are not liable for:
  • Cosmetic changes from cleaning or repairs
  • Pre‑existing damage or hidden defects
  • Loss of income or business interruption

9. Communication Consent
By leaving equipment with us, you consent to be contacted via phone, text, or email for updates, approvals, completion notices, and reminders.
Message/data rates may apply.

10. Customer Representations
You confirm you are the owner or authorized agent of the owner.
You agree to provide accurate contact information and monitor messages for pickup updates.

11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
